Responsibilities
- Design, build, deliver, and maintain AI/ML products including LLM applications, forecasting models, anomaly detection systems, and intelligent agents.
- Own the AI/ML lifecycle from requirements analysis and model design through training, evaluation, API development, deployment, monitoring, and operational support.
- Develop MCP servers, model-serving APIs, AI features, natural-language query capabilities, predictive insights, and recommendations for operational applications.
- Establish MLOps practices covering experiment tracking, model versioning, automated evaluation, A/B testing, monitoring, and model-performance alerting.
- Design vector database and semantic search architectures for RAG applications and build evaluation frameworks for LLM response quality, relevance, accuracy, and hallucination rates.
- Ensure responsible AI through bias detection, explainability, privacy-preserving techniques, and compliance with enterprise AI governance policies.
- Partner with executive stakeholders, BI teams, data platform teams, domain experts, and business stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize products, and measure business outcomes.
- Drive AI/ML modernization, roadmap development, proof-of-concepts, reusable components, reference architectures, and technical mentoring.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of hands-on AI/ML engineering experience building and deploying machine learning models and/or AI-powered applications to production.
- Production programming experience using appropriate technologies such as Python, Java, C#, or TypeScript.
- Experience building data platforms and production LLM-powered applications, including prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, and vector databases.
- Knowledge of supervised and unsupervised learning, time-series forecasting, classification, and optimization.
- Experience with MLflow, model registries, automated training pipelines, A/B testing frameworks, and model monitoring.
- Experience with AWS, Visual Studio, Databricks, GitHub, and REST API development using FastAPI or Flask.
- Experience with authentication, rate limiting, API versioning, and API documentation.
- Experience with supply chain, manufacturing, maintenance, or operations analytics is preferred.
- Ability to translate AI capabilities into business outcomes, address ambiguous problems, estimate development effort, communicate model limitations and uncertainty, and collaborate across technical and business teams.
