Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design and build the core architecture integrating AI agents with CAD, CAE, and PLM tools.
- Own end-to-end engineering execution from design decisions through production delivery, reliability, observability, evaluation, regression testing, and on-call operations.
- Ship production AI workflows used by engineers in live customer programs.
- Build evaluation and training loops using simulation runs, test data, engineer corrections, field outcomes, and reinforcement learning grounded in real physics.
- Work directly with partner-company engineers to identify failures and translate field learnings into platform capabilities.
- Expand the platform across multiple operating companies and deliver measurable cycle-time reductions.
- Help build and mentor the early engineering team.
- Travel to partner operating companies as needed.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience shipping production software used by real customers daily.
- Proven experience putting AI into production, including LLM agent workflows that call real tools, handle failures, and use rigorous evaluation suites.
- Strong Python and backend or ML systems engineering skills.
- Experience designing architecture for agent orchestration and tool integration.
- Ability to determine whether problems require retrieval, fine-tuning, reinforcement learning, or conventional software.
- Production experience with observability, regression testing, and on-call operations.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, ideally supported by a rigorous academic background.
- Experience at a high-growth or early-stage company in AI, industrial software, autonomous systems, or developer infrastructure is preferred.
- Experience with reinforcement learning, fine-tuning, simulation, robotics, physical-world AI, CAD, CAE, or EDA is a bonus.
- Ability to earn trust with domain experts and technical leadership.
- Must be a US citizen or permanent resident; visa sponsorship is unavailable.
- Willingness to travel to partner operating companies.
