Base Salary
$120k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver scalable, user-focused features across backend services, APIs, and frontend applications.
- Improve platform performance, reliability, maintainability, scalability, security, and system robustness.
- Translate product goals into technical solutions with cross-functional engineering, design, and product teams.
- Lead technical problem-solving and proactively identify and resolve product-level issues.
- Contribute reusable, high-quality code and influence architectural decisions.
- Support engineering culture through mentorship, code reviews, collaboration, and process improvements.
- Help evolve engineering best practices for efficient, continuous delivery.
Requirements
- Professional software development experience using Clojure or a similar Lisp-family language.
- Strong understanding of scalable SaaS application development and modern software architecture.
- Solid SQL and relational database experience, including PostgreSQL.
- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs.
- Understanding of software testing methodologies and engineering best practices.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills within distributed, cross-functional teams.
- Experience with ClojureScript is preferred.
- Familiarity with AWS, Docker, RabbitMQ, ElasticSearch, or similar technologies is preferred.
- Understanding of application security principles and a commitment to continuous learning are preferred.
