Base Salary
$157k - $218k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and release new People Data platform capabilities and data pipelines.
- Lead execution of scalable and reliable core services with end-to-end ownership.
- Build and maintain large-scale batch and streaming data processing pipelines.
- Partner with product and cross-functional engineering and data teams to scope initiatives and shape the roadmap.
- Participate in on-call rotation, resolve production issues, and improve platform availability and data accuracy.
- Mentor engineers and contribute through technical reviews, showcases, and proposals.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience building scalable, performant data platforms or backend services.
- Strong proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL.
- Strong computer science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and relational and NoSQL databases, including MongoDB.
- Experience building large-scale ETL/ELT, batch, and stream-processing pipelines.
- Familiarity with Kafka, Spark, Iceberg, data lakes, and AWS services including EKS, EMR, Glue, Athena, and S3.
- Experience with data modeling, domain modeling, system architecture, and writing clear, tested code.
- Knowledge of security best practices and data privacy concerns, with ownership across the full development lifecycle.
- Experience with Databricks or Snowflake is preferred.
