Base Salary
$87k - $157k/yr
Responsibilities
- Participate in requirements identification, definition, and analysis.
- Create detailed software design documentation.
- Develop software and write meaningful unit tests.
- Propose changes to Java infrastructure.
- Participate in peer code reviews.
- Produce deployable software components and associated deployment documentation.
- Troubleshoot production systems by analyzing log files and related data.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related subject and at least 4 years of experience; or a master’s degree in a related subject and at least 2 years of experience; or 8 years of relevant work experience with college coursework and certifications in lieu of a degree.
- Active and in-scope TS/SCI with Poly clearance.
- Proficiency with Java, Java EE, Java Secure Sockets, Spring, JPA or Hibernate, and Tomcat or a similar application server.
- Experience with React or other JavaScript technologies, HTML, CSS, and building and consuming web services.
- Experience with Python and/or Bash, MySQL or a similar relational database, Git, Java build and dependency-management tools, Linux command line environments, and an IDE such as VS Code, Eclipse, or IntelliJ.
- Knowledge of software engineering best practices, object-oriented design, test-driven development, unit testing frameworks, configuration management, and collaborative development.
- Preferred qualifications include cloud development, Android application development, automated testing tools, Linux system administration, and willingness to travel OCONUS.
