Base Salary
$174k - $252k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design custom instruction sets, addressing modes, and hardware features for frontier model operations.
- Develop agentic orchestration and automated exploration pipelines that synthesize ISA configurations, generate test kernels, and identify architectural bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with ML research, XLA compiler, and RTL teams to make new instructions targetable, efficient to lower, and cleanly verifiable.
- Implement instruction-level simulators, golden reference models, and trace analyzers to measure performance, silicon area, and compiler efficiency.
- Create data-driven architecture proposals supporting multi-generational silicon roadmaps.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of software development experience in C++ and Python.
- Experience with functional or architectural simulators, emulator development, or compiler backends.
- Experience with computer architecture, instruction set architectures, and hardware-software interaction.
- Preferred: master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Preferred: 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Preferred: experience developing accessible technologies.
Benefits
- US base salary of $174000-$252000, plus a 15% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
