Responsibilities
- Translate customer requirements into HAM/SAM solution designs, user stories, and build specifications.
- Facilitate requirements and design workshops and lead technical deep-dive sessions.
- Drive sprint delivery through ServiceNow configuration, scripting, flows, integrations, testing, update set/application repository migration, and release management.
- Lead design walkthroughs, sprint playbacks, defect triage, technical status discussions, estimation, risk management, and dependency coordination.
- Deliver HAM capabilities covering asset lifecycle management, stockrooms, inventory, transfer orders, procurement integration, asset-CI reconciliation, refresh, audits, Asset Workspace, and mobile capabilities.
- Deliver SAM capabilities covering software discovery and normalization, license imports, reconciliation, compliance positions, publisher packs, software models, and remediation workflows.
- Design HAM/SAM solutions using existing CMDB and ITOM investments, including Discovery data quality, CSDM, IRE, SCCM/MECM, Intune, and JAMF integrations.
- Set development standards, review supporting developers' work, and coordinate onsite and offshore team members.
- Present prior implementations and respond to live technical design scenarios during the candidate assessment.
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on ServiceNow platform experience and 3+ years focused on ITAM, HAM, and/or SAM.
- At least two full-cycle HAM and/or SAM Pro implementations delivered from design through hypercare.
- Strong ServiceNow platform architecture and development experience with scoped applications, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, REST/SOAP integrations, ACL/security models, performance considerations, and instance hygiene.
- Working knowledge of CMDB/ITOM, CSDM, Discovery data flows, and reconciliation in mature live environments.
- Ability to independently facilitate workshops, defend design decisions, and manage customer technical stakeholders.
- Strong verbal and written English with confidence presenting to customer architects and program leadership.
- ServiceNow CSA certification and CIS-HAM or CIS-SAM certification required; both CIS-HAM and CIS-SAM are strongly preferred.
- CAD, CIS-Discovery, or CIS-ITSM certification and current certifications on recent platform releases are preferred.
- Experience in financial services or public-sector ITAM, SaaS license management, procurement/ERP integrations, or App Engine and custom scoped application delivery is desirable.
