Responsibilities
- Design and build the platform control plane, including APIs, resource management, provisioning workflows, and deployment orchestration.
- Define boundaries between platform services and customer workload systems, including configuration exchange, status reporting, resource ownership, and access controls.
- Build capabilities for discovering and managing AI assets such as agents, models, prompts, and tools with versioning, dependency tracking, lineage, and approval workflows.
- Develop application release bundles that preserve tested configurations while adapting resources and permissions to each environment.
- Design identity and access patterns for people, applications, and AI agents across services, accounts, and environments.
- Address tenant isolation, failure recovery, observability, and performance across cloud deployment models.
- Design secure and performant data and access patterns using Oracle Database.
- Create clear APIs, actionable diagnostics, and integrations with developer tools and agent frameworks.
- Evaluate AI capabilities hands-on and translate user friction into engineering priorities with product management, field teams, and customers.
- Prototype difficult technical decisions, write production code, set technical direction, lead design reviews, mentor engineers, and own implementation quality and operational readiness.
- Communicate complex technical topics to engineering, product, and leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years working on database products or database cloud services.
- Experience designing SaaS applications involving provisioning, lifecycle management, deployment orchestration, APIs, and metadata.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, agentic frameworks, RAG, and AI evaluation.
- Working knowledge of identity and access management, including OAuth, OIDC, and fine-grained authorization.
- Experience designing tenant isolation, failure recovery, observability, and performance in cloud services.
- Strong programming and REST API design skills.
- Preferred experience with Oracle Database AI capabilities, Oracle database services, identity domains, versioning, dependency tracking, lineage, release management, developer tools, SDKs, user-facing consoles, MCP, agent interoperability, and AI observability or tracing.
- Experience working directly with customers or field teams to shape product direction.
- Curiosity about AI, continuous learning, comfort with ambiguity, strong communication, ownership, accountability, and work ethic.
