Base Salary
$118k - $151k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and improve platform services by writing code, reviewing changes, and supporting deployments.
- Design and implement solutions that improve scalability, reliability, and developer experience with guidance from senior engineers.
- Maintain and operate CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and other core systems.
- Participate in incident response and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with engineers to translate platform needs into practical solutions.
- Own tasks and smaller projects while developing toward ownership of larger platform areas.
Requirements
- Have solid communication skills and a collaborative approach.
- Have hands-on experience with AWS or another major cloud provider.
- Be familiar with security best practices and automation tools.
- Have experience contributing to the operation of production systems, ideally in a distributed or cloud environment.
- Have experience or interest in Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, Python or other scripting languages, Datadog or similar monitoring and logging tools, RabbitMQ or other messaging systems, Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools, networking, PostgreSQL or another relational database, and Linux system administration.
- Exposure to multi-team environments or shared platform services, interest in analytics, telemetry, or IoT systems, and familiarity with CI/CD or observability beyond the basics are bonus qualifications.
