Responsibilities
- Analyze, profile, and optimize production systems built with .NET Framework and .NET Core web services.
- Define performance benchmarks, KPIs, and SLOs with cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvements.
- Identify and eliminate bottlenecks across application, infrastructure, and database layers.
- Design and execute performance, load, stress, and endurance tests under varying workloads.
- Respond to performance incidents and escalations and help prioritize engineering work.
- Build automation for performance testing, benchmarking, capacity planning, and continuous validation.
- Support performance validation during releases and assist with critical performance incidents when needed.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering and application development experience with hands-on expertise in C#, Java, Go, Groovy, or Python, focused on performance profiling and optimization.
- Experience with AWS, vSphere, Google Cloud Platform, network protocols, Linux/Unix internals, system performance tuning, and Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Experience with GitHub Actions, Artifactory, Terraform, Helm, Chef, and Salt.
- Experience across Network, Database, Server, and Storage infrastructure domains.
- Experience with Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus, Wavefront, Kibana, Logz.io, dotTrace, dotMemory, or SentryOne for monitoring, observability, and profiling.
- Strong performance engineering experience in load testing, workload modeling, profiling, benchmarking, and capacity planning.
- Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, Z-Scoring techniques, and LLMs for advanced analysis and anomaly detection is a plus.
- Willingness to support release validation and critical performance incident scenarios.
