Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, high-quality software solutions and algorithms.
- Deliver complex distributed systems and cloud-native applications on AWS using Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka.
- Create architecture and design artifacts and ensure implementation meets design constraints.
- Analyze and visualize large, diverse datasets to improve software applications, coding hygiene, and system architecture.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Apply secure coding, application resiliency, testing, automation, and operational stability practices.
- Interact with technology and business stakeholders in support of financial services systems.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with distributed system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced Java programming skills.
- Practical experience designing, building, and deploying applications on Amazon Web Services.
- Advanced knowledge of Spring Boot and Kafka.
- Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and critically evaluating their outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Advanced understanding of CI/CD, application resiliency, security, and agile engineering practices.
- Experience interacting with technology and business stakeholders and in-depth knowledge of financial services industry IT systems.
- Preferred: basic or intermediate Python knowledge.
- Preferred: experience with Snowflake or Databricks.
