$131k - $183k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, verify, and commission software solutions for New Glenn ground control systems.
- Design ground control applications using model-based development and verification techniques.
- Implement the strategy for autonomous ground control systems supporting increased launch cadence and efficient operations.
- Own configuration management, verification, commissioning, and in-field troubleshooting for complex controls software.
- Use physics-based controls systems modeling to develop robust controls applications.
- Collaborate with launch engineering and operations teams to gather feedback and validate controls software against real-world operational needs.
- Ensure assigned products are ready for New Glenn mission deployment and operational use.
- Leverage large language models and artificial intelligence in autonomous application development.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Aerospace, Software, or related Engineering field.
- 5–8 years of experience in the applicable industry and/or a controls-related role in a non-academic professional setting.
- Experience with model-based software design and validation.
- Experience tuning and processing P&ID loops and reading schematic drawings.
- Experience working in a configuration-managed development environment.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as C/C++ and Python.
- Preferred: experience with modeling and simulations and software integration.
- Preferred: experience with StateFlow and State Machine.
- Preferred: familiarity with DO-178 and/or DO-278.
- Preferred: familiarity with PLCs or embedded controllers.
- Preferred: experience in the automotive, aviation, or space industry.
- Preferred: experience with Linux, GitLab, Confluence, and JIRA ITS.
