Base Salary
$147k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement Chrome security features, metrics, and tools.
- Improve the safety, reliability, scalability, and efficiency of owned code.
- Collaborate with Chrome Security, Chrome, and other Google teams.
- Manage and prioritize assigned tasks and projects with minimal guidance.
- Participate in security launch reviews and the Chrome Security Shepherding rotation or an equivalent rotation.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing.
- Triage security vulnerabilities and perform security reviews of other teams’ features.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of software development experience using C++.
- At least 2 years of experience building software for web privacy or security, such as identity and access management.
- Preferred: master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Preferred: experience developing network security solutions.
- Preferred: experience building for the web, particularly Chromium browser development.
- Preferred: familiarity with transport layer security and related technologies.
Benefits
- US base salary of $147000 - $210000 per year, plus a 15% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
