Responsibilities
- Design architectures for new custom applications, cloud integrations, and system extensions.
- Lead integration strategies involving Oracle Fusion, Microsoft systems, and other platforms.
- Establish secure, scalable software design practices across the Innovation Lab portfolio.
- Translate user needs into technical architecture with functional teams and business stakeholders.
- Conduct code reviews, architecture reviews, risk assessments, and proof-of-concept efforts.
- Ensure solutions meet district security, data governance, interoperability, performance, and maintainability standards.
- Contribute to DevOps maturity, CI/CD pipeline improvement, and API management strategies.
- Provide technical leadership across cross-functional teams and mentor architects and developers.
- Advise on software tools, cloud consumption, architectural investments, budgeting, and tool selection.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Applicants lacking the stated education may be considered with a unique combination of education and work experience indicating potential for success.
- At least seven years of experience in enterprise software architecture or application development is required.
- At least three years of experience in a leadership role is required.
- Experience with ERP system integration and public-sector applications is preferred.
- Expert-level understanding of application design, microservices, and RESTful APIs is required.
- Familiarity with Oracle Fusion, Azure, and Microsoft Power Platform is required.
- Strong knowledge of authentication, data flows, and application security is required.
- Experience with software lifecycle tools such as GitHub and Azure DevOps is required.
- TOGAF, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical solutions to business leaders are required.
