Base Salary
$73k - $174k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, and optimize conversational AI solutions using OpenAI, Anthropic, and Hugging Face models.
- Build and maintain RAG pipelines, vector-based retrieval systems, embeddings, and semantic search capabilities.
- Conduct prompt engineering, model evaluation, performance testing, and AI output quality optimization.
- Develop NLP applications for text parsing, classification, sentiment analysis, summarization, and text generation.
- Deploy and manage AI applications on AWS using cloud-native architectures, Docker, Kubernetes, and MCP integrations.
- Create data preparation workflows involving cleaning, labeling, augmentation, and synthetic data generation.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize production AI systems while implementing scalability, reliability, governance, and security best practices.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, and developers to translate requirements into scalable AI solutions.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in software engineering, backend development, machine learning, NLP, or a related field.
- 1–2+ years of hands-on experience with LLM APIs or models including OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, or Hugging Face.
- Proven experience building and deploying RAG-based applications.
- Strong understanding of prompt engineering, model evaluation, AI application lifecycle management, NLP concepts, and transformer architectures such as GPT, BERT, and Llama.
- Proficiency in Python and relevant AI/ML libraries and frameworks.
- Experience with vector databases, embeddings, semantic search, retrieval systems, data preprocessing, augmentation, and synthetic data generation.
- Knowledge of AWS or other cloud platforms and hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders and managing technical requirements.
- Preferred experience with LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, MCP deployments, MLOps, model monitoring, observability, security, and AI governance.
- Preferred experience with Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma, Qdrant, or Azure AI Search.
