Base Salary
$160k - $280k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build agent-driven experiences for SOX control testing while determining appropriate levels of autonomy and auditor involvement.
- Own complex, end-to-end workstreams across the full stack and ship code from day one.
- Improve the reliability, repeatability, performance, and observability of long-running agents.
- Turn agent output into structured audit workpapers and other finished audit deliverables that adapt to firm templates.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, SOX subject matter experts, domain experts, and customers on difficult product problems.
- Help shape technical direction, agentic systems, AI tooling, engineering practices, and applied AI evaluation approaches.
- At senior levels, lead complex projects, shape roadmaps and architecture, mentor engineers, and serve as a technical domain expert.
- At staff levels, drive company-wide technical initiatives, influence cross-team architecture, set engineering standards, and define long-term technical strategy.
Requirements
- Must have shipped LLM-backed product features to production for real users.
- Strong full-stack engineering ability with sufficient backend depth for agent orchestration.
- Ability to work autonomously from ambiguous specifications in fast-moving environments.
- Collaborative approach and ability to work effectively with product, design, domain experts, and customer-facing teams.
- Willingness to develop applied AI skills, including writing evaluations, using LLM observability tools, and focusing on output quality.
- Preferred experience includes startup or founder experience, 0-to-1 product development, direct customer collaboration, and experience in internal audit, SOX, financial services, accounting, or compliance.
- Preferred familiarity with TypeScript, React, GraphQL, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Python, and Temporal.
- Preferred experience with document processing, PDF or Excel manipulation, or model-output evaluation frameworks.
