Senior Software Engineer- Backend
TripAdvisorResponsibilities
- Design and develop simple solutions to complex product challenges.
- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders on complex projects and deliver quality code on time.
- Analyze, investigate, and troubleshoot intricate web-based product features and issues.
- Contribute to automated tools that improve team efficiency.
- Improve system documentation for customers integrating with Tripadvisor products.
- Participate in rotating on-call duty for network connectivity and product support.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least five years of programming experience.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills for complex systems.
- Proficiency with Linux and its standard utilities.
- Ability to construct complex SQL queries.
- Solid understanding of HTTP and other internet protocols.
- Deep familiarity with Java.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Experience with web-platform skills, API integration, scalable coding, and effective use of AI tools.
