Responsibilities
- Create and maintain database stored procedures, functions, batch services, Windows Services, and WCF components.
- Design, implement, test, and optimize database functionality and backend database infrastructure.
- Create and maintain data feeds and integrations with internal and external applications.
- Acquire, manipulate, organize, and migrate data from varied sources.
- Create and maintain SQL Server Integration Packages.
- Provide rotating coverage for automated backend processes and production systems, including on-call support.
- Evaluate business requirements, contribute to system specifications and database design, and provide technical direction.
- Review requirements and test plans, provide technical feedback, and assist with integrated testing, parallel testing, training, and demonstrations.
- Maintain application documentation and existing applications according to established architecture and standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Three to five years of software development experience.
- SQL Server SSRS, WPF, web service development, and MVC experience are a plus.
- Experience with data sourced from mainframe systems, including COBOL, VSAM, and MVS, is a plus.
- Insurance industry experience is preferred.
