Base Salary
$145k - $193k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive complex infrastructure migrations and projects across multiple production environments and jurisdictions.
- Build and maintain platform tooling, automation, release pipelines, and service onboarding workflows.
- Support development teams by consulting on infrastructure needs, reviewing architecture proposals, and helping teams adopt platform tooling and best practices.
- Design and improve Datadog observability monitors, dashboards, alerting, and runbooks.
- Provide operational support, participate in on-call rotations, investigate production issues, and perform root cause analysis.
- Lead cross-team infrastructure projects, reduce operational toil, mentor teammates, and improve platform reliability.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar DevOps or Site Reliability Engineer role.
- Strong production experience operating and troubleshooting Kubernetes in Linux environments, including cluster lifecycle, networking, storage, and scheduling.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, and/or on-premise environments.
- Proficiency in at least two of Go, Python, and Bash/Shell.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, failure modes, networking fundamentals, capacity planning, and performance analysis.
- Experience with GitOps, CI/CD workflows, infrastructure-as-code, and tools such as ArgoCD, Helm, GitHub Actions, or Terraform.
- Track record of leading complex migrations or infrastructure projects with cross-team dependencies.
- Strong incident response, troubleshooting, technical communication, documentation, and cross-team collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience includes Istio, Cilium, Ceph, bare-metal Kubernetes, Talos OS, regulated environments, Datadog, PostgreSQL, PgBouncer, and database migration tooling.
