Responsibilities
- Own the design system as a coded, versioned, documented, themed, and reusable component library.
- Design and implement Agent UI, Control UI, slide-out and pill interfaces, and per-module panels.
- Create interaction patterns for active listening and agent handover experiences.
- Develop the product’s graphics language, including iconography, motion design, and data visualization.
- Design accessible, keyboard-first agent workflows targeting Lighthouse accessibility scores above 90.
- Build reusable templates, layout systems, component APIs, and composition patterns that developers can implement efficiently.
- Design for real-time voice, desktop, and AI event streams while accounting for WebSocket state, latency, event ordering, rendering performance, and plugin loading.
- Improve perceived performance through skeletons, optimistic updates, and latency-masking motion.
- Use design tokens to support enterprise branding and theming without rewrites.
- Design overlays and extensions injected over host pages while accounting for size, z-index, and isolation constraints.
- Use lightweight session recordings and agent feedback loops to validate usability.
- Profile browser rendering, diagnose performance issues, and fix component jank directly.
Requirements
- 7+ years of product design experience with substantial front-end engineering experience.
- Hands-on ability to ship React and TypeScript code rather than only producing design specifications.
- Experience owning a living design system and component library in a fast-shipping product.
- Strong visual craft in iconography, motion design, canvas/SVG data visualization, and rendering dense live data.
- Experience creating reusable templates, layout systems, component APIs, and composable patterns for developer implementation.
- Understanding of WebSocket-driven state, event ordering, render performance, and module federation or plugin loading.
- Experience designing dense, real-time professional-tool interfaces used for extended periods.
- Strong accessibility and keyboard-first design practices.
- Experience with perceived-performance techniques such as skeletons and optimistic updates.
- Fluency with design tokens and enterprise theming.
- Experience designing overlays or extensions injected over host pages.
- Ability to use browser profiling and debugging to diagnose and resolve rendering issues.
- Self-directed, adaptable, and comfortable shipping in one-week sprint cycles with weekly demos.
- Familiarity with LLMs, SLMs, RAG, knowledge graphs, agents, training, and evaluation concepts is expected.
Benefits
- Full-time position.
- Fully remote work arrangement.
- Fast-moving startup-style environment with one-week sprints and Friday demos.
- Opportunity to build AI customer-experience tools for large enterprise deployments.
