Base Salary
$150k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the full biosignal-based algorithm development lifecycle for medical devices, from specifications and data curation through development, validation, production, maintenance, and documentation.
- Select and implement appropriate machine learning, deep learning, signal-processing, and statistical methods for each problem.
- Enhance internal machine learning and deep learning tools, model architectures, and reusable code to enable rapid experimentation.
- Establish and improve testing, documentation, continuous integration, and non-regression practices for algorithm implementations.
- Present technical results to stakeholders and support clients in using deployed and newly developed algorithms.
- Collaborate with data scientists, neuroscientists, engineers, clinicians, and customers on algorithm impact and development.
Requirements
- More than four years of industry experience in machine learning and deep learning, particularly in health sciences or other regulated fields.
- Proven experience bringing machine learning algorithms into production.
- Experience with digital signal processing and statistics, including selecting methods beyond machine learning when appropriate.
- Proficiency with PyTorch preferred, or other deep learning frameworks, for training, developing, and deploying models.
- Familiarity with current deep learning advances such as Transformers, Vision Transformers, large-scale modeling, and large model training.
- Experience with software and ML engineering practices including testing, version control, code reviews, documentation, Dockerization, continuous integration and delivery, and experiment tracking.
- Familiarity with biosignals, medical imaging data, or large time-series datasets, or enthusiasm for learning the domain.
- Ability to communicate complex technical topics appropriately to internal and external audiences.
- Ability to work across algorithm scoping, data wrangling, experimentation, formal validation, quality and regulatory documentation, production deployment, and client engagement.
