Responsibilities
- Own technical strategy and execution for multi-million-dollar federal agreements and complex RFI, RFP, and OTA acquisition cycles.
- Advise senior agency executives and flag officers through architecture reviews and visioning workshops.
- Translate federal mission requirements into Appian-powered technical roadmaps.
- Create persona-based technical narratives and advanced demonstrations using AI, Appian Data Fabric, and secure deployment frameworks.
- Mentor junior Solutions Consultants and develop reusable architectural blueprints, frameworks, and demonstrations.
- Partner with Public Sector Account Executives on territory strategy, pipeline growth, and technical win rates.
- Feed federal customer requirements and field patterns back to Product Management, Marketing, and Customer Success.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical or analytical field.
- 8+ years of experience in pre-sales solutions consulting, software architecture, or strategic technology consulting.
- At least 3 years of direct experience supporting federal government clients.
- Proven success closing high-stakes software deals involving FedRAMP, FISMA, DoD RMF, and Zero Trust architectures.
- High proficiency with Java, Python, SQL, or JavaScript.
- Willingness and ability to travel 50%–70% for federal briefings, workshops, and customer meetings.
- Preferred experience across DoD, the Intelligence Community, Civilian, or Federal Health agencies.
- Preferred experience integrating Appian with legacy ERP or CRM ecosystems.
- Experience with Salesforce or ServiceNow is preferred.
