Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable, modern cloud solutions for Public Health data modernization initiatives.
- Architect and deploy solutions in AWS and hybrid cloud environments while meeting engineering and cloud governance standards.
- Lead and support a team of 5–10 developers and guide technical teams through complex cloud challenges.
- Design, configure, administer, and troubleshoot enterprise applications and IaaS environments, including Linux or Unix-based systems and shell scripting.
- Collaborate with engineers, product teams, and data modernization stakeholders to inform technical strategy, design, implementation, and delivery.
- Research current environments and recommend tools and solutions across on-premise, cloud-based, and hybrid resources.
- Apply automation, cloud-based security, cloud cost management, and modern DevOps practices.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience designing, configuring, and administering enterprise applications in cloud environments.
- 5+ years of experience developing with .NET, Entity Framework, and SQL.
- Experience managing a team of 5–10 developers and leading technical teams.
- Experience architecting and deploying secure solutions in AWS and hybrid cloud environments while adhering to engineering and cloud governance standards.
- Experience with generative AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Codex, or Claude Code.
- Experience deploying and troubleshooting IaaS environments and Linux or Unix-based systems, including shell scripting.
- Knowledge of automation tools such as GitHub Actions.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Preferred qualifications include cloud cost management, governance frameworks, CDC processes, data modernization, federal IT environments, a master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, and cloud certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
