Responsibilities
- Translate complex functional requirements into system requirements and develop web-based applications.
- Design, develop, enhance, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize complex multi-tiered .NET applications.
- Develop backend services and browser-based user interfaces using the stated programming languages and frameworks.
- Design database solutions, establish database objects, write high-performance SQL queries, and perform performance tuning.
- Identify production and non-production issues and assist with optimal solutions.
- Conduct code reviews, suggest enhancements, and fine-tune applications for performance.
- Apply software development lifecycle, configuration management, quality assurance, and security practices.
- Perform technical, financial, and operational feasibility analysis and communicate design-pattern and platform tradeoffs.
- Create basic project plans for small projects and take ownership of application modules and features.
- Collaborate with customers, onshore counterparts, supervisors, business analysts, business teams, and other team members.
- Contribute to new techniques and plans within the area of expertise.
Requirements
- 7–9 years of professional work experience.
- Minimum of 15 years of formal education, with a graduate or postgraduate qualification in Computer Science or Information Technology.
- Prior experience designing, developing, and maintaining .NET-based web applications across the software development lifecycle.
- Experience with complex, multi-tiered architecture and object-oriented programming practices, including SOLID principles and design patterns.
- Experience with feasibility analysis and selecting and explaining the merits and drawbacks of design patterns and platforms.
- Proficiency with C#, MVC 5, ASP.NET, and Web API.
- Experience with at least one JavaScript framework, including Angular, React, or Backbone.
- Hands-on experience with HTML5, CSS, jQuery, and JavaScript, including designing HTML pages with jQuery.
- Prior experience with Bootstrap for dynamic and scalable browser-based user interfaces.
- Experience writing high-performance SQL queries using SQL Server 2014/2016 or MySQL; T-SQL proficiency is required.
- Knowledge of cloud concepts and platforms such as AWS, Azure, OpenShift, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, and Google.
- Understanding of security frameworks, vulnerability assessment, secure coding, SSL/non-SSL considerations, and vulnerability testing.
- Experience working with Agile teams and approaches such as Scrum, Extreme Programming, Kanban, or refactoring.
- Experience identifying application issues, optimizing .NET projects, conducting code reviews, and working with Gantt charts or similar planning tools.
- Strong verbal, written, communication, interpersonal, analytical, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
