Responsibilities
- Build core SaaS platform capabilities across multiple clouds.
- Develop functional enhancements for Data Discovery, Observability, and Governance across OSS and SaaS offerings.
- Lead performance, scalability, reliability, observability, and cost-optimization efforts.
- Lead and mentor junior engineers.
- Collaborate with product management, customers, and the open-source community.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building and scaling backend systems, preferably in cloud-first or SaaS environments.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and deep experience designing distributed systems and APIs.
- Proficiency in Java and production-quality coding practices.
- Experience deploying and operating services on cloud platforms.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control workflows, and production-grade system monitoring.
- Ability to solve complex technical and system design problems and lead projects from design through production.
- Experience driving observability improvements and cost optimization.
- Preferred exposure to the modern data stack, metadata, data governance, or AI-enhanced platforms.
