Responsibilities
- Build core capabilities for the SaaS Platform across multiple clouds.
- Drive development of functional enhancements for Data Discovery, Observability, and Governance.
- Lead efforts around non-functional aspects like performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Mentor junior engineers.
- Collaborate closely with PM, customers, and the OSS community.
Requirements
- Over 8 years of experience building and scaling backend systems, preferably in cloud-first or SaaS environments.
- Ability to solve complex technical and system design problems.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals with experience in designing distributed systems and APIs.
- Proficient in Java and capable of writing clean, well-documented code.
- Experience deploying and operating services on cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control workflows, and production-grade system monitoring.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects from design to production.
- Experience in building observability, improvements, and cost optimization.
- Bonus: Exposure to modern data stack or experience in metadata, governance, or AI-enhanced platforms.
