Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain modern C++ licensing client components, libraries, and SDKs for Windows and Linux.
- Own the end-to-end library lifecycle, including implementation, testing, documentation, packaging, releases, maintenance, and backward-compatible API evolution.
- Design and troubleshoot C++ libraries and integrate native components into desktop applications, services, tools, and customer-facing software.
- Collaborate with architects, backend engineers, UI teams, and integration teams to support licensing workflows and intuitive user experiences.
- Improve Azure DevOps build, test, and release pipelines for cross-platform client libraries.
- Perform automated testing, incident analysis, debugging, defect resolution, and operational support.
- Contribute to coding guidelines, technical documentation, best practices, and reliable integration practices.
Requirements
- 2–7 years of professional C++ software development experience, preferably focused on libraries or SDKs.
- University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a comparable qualification.
- Advanced modern C++ skills, including object-oriented design, templates, memory management, concurrency basics, and error handling.
- Hands-on experience developing and debugging C++ software on both Windows and Linux, including toolchains, compilers, runtime behavior, dependencies, and build configurations.
- Proven experience with reusable library or SDK development, API design, versioning, packaging, distribution, documentation, and backward compatibility.
- Experience integrating native C++ libraries into larger application landscapes and working with Azure DevOps build pipelines, artifacts, and basic YAML configurations.
- Experience with automated unit, component, integration, regression, or mocking-based testing in CI pipelines.
- Working knowledge of Git workflows, branching strategies, pull requests, peer reviews, and agile development teams.
- Strong understanding of robust coding, clean architecture, defensive programming, secure coding, documentation, traceability, and regulated enterprise development.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and English-language collaboration skills in international, cross-functional teams.
- Basic-to-intermediate C#/.NET and native-to-managed interop knowledge is highly desirable; WPF experience and knowledge of software licensing models are beneficial.
