Base Salary
$175k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and operate a cloud runtime with durable execution, sandboxed isolation, and self-healing capabilities.
- Develop infrastructure for coding agents that write, test, and deploy integration code in production.
- Design observability across integrations and agents, including logs, metrics, and tracing.
- Deliver and own a single-tenant, self-hostable product deployment and infrastructure platform end to end.
- Establish engineering patterns, ship regular production improvements, and help hire and lead the growing infrastructure team.
Requirements
- Three to nine years of professional software engineering experience, including at least three years in fast-moving, ambiguous startup environments.
- Hands-on experience operating, scaling, and debugging Kubernetes in production, with end-to-end ownership of cloud infrastructure or a platform.
- Practical cloud infrastructure and production observability experience across logs, metrics, and tracing.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, AWS, and Docker.
- Experience using AI coding agents effectively while applying sound production engineering judgment.
- A completed or in-progress degree in engineering, computer science, or a quantitative field from a strong technical university.
- Experience as a funded startup founder or as an engineer at an early-stage, well-backed startup.
- Experience with self-hosted, single-tenant deployments is valuable.
- Candidates must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area and able to work on-site five days per week, or be US-based with a concrete relocation plan to San Francisco.
Benefits
- Base salary of $175,000 to $300,000 USD annually.
