Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise APIs, integration services, event-driven solutions, message flows, protocol adapters, and file-based interfaces.
- Lead complex integration initiatives across requirements, solution design, development, testing, risk management, deployment, stabilization, and production support.
- Build reusable integration components, services, templates, frameworks, and implementation patterns for shared enterprise use.
- Guide application teams onboarding to the enterprise integration platform and ensure adherence to security and engineering standards.
- Contribute to platform architecture, API lifecycle management, capacity planning, scalability, resiliency, observability, and technology roadmaps.
- Establish standards for API design, messaging, data transformation, exception handling, retries, idempotency, reconciliation, logging, monitoring, and operational support.
- Lead design and code reviews and ensure solutions meet architecture, performance, security, audit, compliance, and quality requirements.
- Collaborate with product, architecture, security, infrastructure, QA, DevOps, business application, and vendor teams.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues across APIs, integrations, messaging platforms, databases, cloud services, and dependent applications.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, deployment automation, monitoring, and platform engineering improvements.
- Mentor developers, communicate technical decisions and tradeoffs, coordinate delivery across teams, and influence technical direction.
- Use approved AI-assisted development tools for development, testing, documentation, and code review while validating outputs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience developing, integrating, and supporting enterprise applications, APIs, backend services, or integration platforms.
- Experience delivering integrations across SaaS, cloud, packaged, ERP, and internally developed applications.
- Experience supporting large-scale, highly integrated, business-critical production platforms and independently leading complex technical initiatives.
- Experience with REST and SOAP services, APIs, JSON, XML, FTP/SFTP, API gateways, protocol adapters, message brokers, event-driven architectures, and file-ingestion patterns.
- Proficiency in at least one enterprise backend language such as Java, C#, Python, Node.js, or Go.
- Experience with relational databases, SQL, major cloud platforms, Git-based source control, automated testing, CI/CD, deployment automation, release management, and production support.
- Understanding of distributed systems, microservices, scalability, resiliency, fault tolerance, API security, authentication, OAuth 2.0, certificates, tokens, and service-to-service access controls.
- Preferred experience with Terraform or CloudFormation, AWS DMS or comparable CDC tools, observability, distributed tracing, regulated environments, and enterprise finance platforms.
- Preferred experience with Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, Oracle Integration Cloud, Quantum Treasury, Coupa, Concur, Workday, and finance-related business processes.
- Preferred experience mentoring developers and onboarding application teams to a shared enterprise platform.
- Nice-to-have experience building or integrating AI agents, using LangGraph or CrewAI, Model Context Protocol, and AI-assisted workflows.
