Responsibilities
- Own the quality strategy and execution for Acorns Banking products.
- Maintain existing test cases in the automation suite for stability and availability.
- Increase strategic automation coverage to 50% across all test types within six months.
- Explore and implement AI and automation tools to enhance testing efficiency.
- Document and share AI/ML-driven best practices across the QA team.
- Identify problems and propose solutions to reduce risk and improve software quality.
- Design and deliver test plans for significant components within the Banking domain.
- Contribute to the team's goal of fully adopting Continuous Delivery practices.
- Partner with Product Marketing and Data Analytics/Engineering teams for comprehensive testing.
- Mentor a junior QA engineer after six months in the role.
- Collaborate on developing and assuring emerging technology in banking.
Requirements
- 4–6+ years of software testing experience.
- 2+ years of experience in the Banking or Fintech domain.
- Proficiency in backend/API testing using TypeScript and GraphQL.
- Experience in mobile testing using Kotlin/Espresso and Swift/XCUI.
- Automated testing experience across various types (unit, integration, e2e).
- Familiarity with at least one CI/CD platform like Harness or GitHub Actions.
- Experience working in a Scrum-based Agile Development Model.
- Strong collaboration skills with Engineering and Product teams.
- A passion for delivering impactful products and societal change.
