Base Salary

$139k - $170k/yr

Responsibilities

Design and implement complex technical projects for Redfin’s mobile experiences.
Build maintainable, testable Android code and contribute to code reviews, documentation, and engineering best practices.
Collaborate with product and design teams to understand user and business needs.
Improve application performance, stability, user experience, and Android design practices.
Use approved AI code-generation tools to document, architect, and create code.
Participate in an on-call rotation for production systems when applicable, including possible nights and weekends.

At least 3 years of software development experience, including at least 2 years of native Android experience.
Practical experience building Android applications with Kotlin and Java.
Solid understanding of computer science and engineering fundamentals.
Ability to collaborate effectively across distances and experience levels and communicate constructively.
Passion for well-architected, clean, well-written code.
Experience with experimentation frameworks is a plus.
Experience with AI code-generation tools such as GitHub Copilot, Anthropic Claude Code, Cursor, or similar tools.

Hybrid schedule with in-office work Tuesdays and Wednesdays in Seattle, San Francisco, or Detroit, and remote work on other days; remote-only consideration is available for highly qualified candidates outside those areas.
