Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Own and ship app features end-to-end across iOS, watchOS, Mac, and shared backend surfaces.
- Build user-facing improvements based on real product issues and user feedback.
- Move between UX, UI, backend, and AI/ML work while making independent scope and design tradeoffs.
- Integrate agent and LLM-based features, including tool use, memory, and retrieval.
- Build and collaborate on shared backend services and APIs powering multiple client surfaces.
- Take features from design through shipping and iteration without waiting for fully specified requirements.
- Collaborate across time zones with hardware, R&D, and supply-chain teams in China.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience shipping consumer product features end-to-end across at least two platforms, such as mobile, desktop, wearable, or backend.
- Proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI for iOS and watchOS, with shipped apps to demonstrate.
- Proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Electron for Mac and desktop client development.
- Demonstrated capability across UX, UI, backend, and AI/ML rather than surface-level exposure outside one specialty.
- Experience building and integrating agent and LLM-based features into production consumer applications.
- Backend experience building shared services and APIs for multiple client surfaces.
- Experience as one of the first engineers at an early-stage or pre-launch startup, shipping with minimal specification.
- Experience with real-time or streaming systems such as audio processing or live data pipelines is preferred.
- Background in wearable devices, hardware, or robotics product development is preferred.
- Prior work at an AI-native consumer app or hardware-adjacent startup is preferred.
