Base Salary
$120k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build end-to-end product features including domain models, business logic, and API integrations.
- Drive data-driven incremental releases toward product milestones.
- Use SQL and analytics tooling to evaluate product and system performance.
- Test and debug complex state machines in event-driven, pub/sub-heavy backend systems.
- Ship to production daily through CI/CD, own implementations end to end, and respond to production incidents as needed.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience building backend features end to end for production systems.
- Proficiency designing and consuming RESTful APIs, including authentication, authorization, and rate-limiting patterns.
- Experience with event-driven architectures and message queues such as Kafka or Pub/Sub.
- Meaningful early-stage startup experience.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases including PostgreSQL or MySQL, with data modeling and query optimization experience.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control, automated testing, and code review processes.
- Experience writing SQL and using analytics tools to assess system and product performance.
- A track record of building consumer-facing products rather than only B2B products.
- Strong computer science fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and system design.
- Background in a high-bar engineering environment supported by a strong academic foundation.
- Experience with Go deployed on GCP is a plus.
