Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, maintain, and support scalable enterprise applications using Progress 4GL/OpenEdge.
- Build and support REST and SOAP web services and system integrations using APIs, XML, and JSON.
- Develop object-oriented OpenEdge solutions and support hybrid architectures through .NET interoperability.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability through debugging, tuning, and application optimization.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and resolve complex technical problems.
- Collaborate with architects, business stakeholders, QA teams, and cross-functional IT teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in Progress OpenEdge development.
- Proficiency with Progress OpenEdge versions 11.7 and 12.2, 4GL, PASOE, AppServer, and GUI programming.
- Proven experience with object-oriented programming in OpenEdge.
- Hands-on experience building SOAP and REST web services and system integrations.
- Strong experience with performance tuning, debugging, application optimization, and full-SDLC OpenEdge development.
- Preferred experience with HTML, JavaScript, web technologies, .NET OpenClient development, API programming, SVN, and SQL.
- Knowledge of the claims domain is helpful.
