Base Salary
$185k - $277k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design, delivery, and testing of large-scale, compliant software systems aligned with strategic goals.
- Translate ambiguous problem spaces into structured software plans, predictable timelines, and technical execution.
- Drive improvements in tooling, documentation, development workflows, and team productivity.
- Guide architectural decisions, lead technical discussions, and mentor junior engineers.
- Partner with engineering, product, and cross-functional teams to define requirements, remove roadblocks, and shape platform strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in software engineering.
- At least 8 years of experience developing and maintaining reliable, scalable, and secure production products and services using Go, Python, C++, or similar languages.
- Experience with cloud technologies such as Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, or Azure, and tools including GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, or Backstage.
- Strong foundations in data structures, algorithms, and system design, with analytical and debugging skills.
- Strong communication skills for requirements gathering, problem definition, and system design documentation.
- Preferred: deep knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes.
- Preferred: experience with microservices, software delivery platforms, DevSecOps, continuous integration, and release management.
- Preferred: at least 2 years of experience on a centralized developer platform team.
- Preferred: strong interest in developer experience and empathy for users.
