Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and test cloud-native Java applications.
- Participate in code reviews and architecture reviews.
- Deliver software solutions with business partners and program management teams.
- Ensure project deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and to a high quality standard.
- Work with application support teams on issue resolution and support processes.
- Perform performance tuning, troubleshooting, and remediation.
- Use scripting for automation tasks and work with containerization and Kubernetes technologies.
- Mentor junior team members and collaborate with global and offshore team members.
Requirements
- At least three years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Strong Java development and core Java knowledge.
- Knowledge of JUnit 5 or TestNG and SQL.
- Experience with JPA implementations such as Hibernate.
- Full software development life cycle experience and understanding of microservice architecture.
- Experience implementing and testing microservices with Spring Boot.
- Experience with Git or comparable source control tools and Maven or Gradle build tools.
- Scripting knowledge in Bash, Ksh, or Python.
- Experience with Docker, Podman, or Buildah and a basic understanding of Kubernetes concepts.
- Experience working with Agile development teams at scale.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, creative, and able to take ownership of tasks.
