Responsibilities
- Build localized and frictionless international money-transfer experiences for Wise customers.
- Develop recipient-discovery features including search and QR scanning.
- Create responsive interfaces, thoughtful transitions, animations, and micro-interactions in the iOS app.
- Own features end to end from technical design through observing real customer usage.
- Collaborate with product and design from ideation through delivery.
- Partner with 60+ mobile engineers to improve UX and code quality across the app.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience building app experiences that customers love, with work that can be shown.
- Strong proficiency in Swift.
- Strong attention to interaction design, animation timing, information hierarchy, and UI craft.
- Ability to focus on customer problems, challenge assumptions, and propose effective product solutions.
- Familiarity with architectural patterns such as MVVM or VIPER.
- Ability to write testable code and maintain quality after merging changes.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs and comfort working at the mobile-backend boundary.
- Clear communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work autonomously while improving the effectiveness of teammates.
- Experience with SwiftUI, Structured Concurrency, or CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions is preferred.
- Familiarity with internationalization patterns for applications serving multiple markets is preferred.
- Fintech experience is preferred but not required.
