Responsibilities
- Lead application systems analysis and programming activities in coordination with technology and management teams.
- Identify and implement system enhancements, new products, and process improvements.
- Develop scalable and performant software platforms for data computation and processing.
- Provide expertise in application design, architecture standards, coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.
- Analyze complex business and system processes to resolve high-impact problems and develop innovative solutions.
- Advise and coach mid-level developers and analysts and allocate work as needed.
- Manage and implement successful projects while assessing and escalating technology, compliance, and control risks.
Requirements
- 10–15 years of relevant experience in application development or systems analysis.
- 9+ years of experience building software and platform engineering solutions with Python and Spark.
- Expertise in Big Data technologies, Spark implementations, Python libraries including pandas, NumPy, and SciPy, object-oriented programming concepts, and design patterns.
- Hands-on experience with Python, Spark, Hive, Trino, Pinot Cluster, SQL, Unix-based operating systems, and source code management tools such as Bitbucket and Git.
- Strong computer science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, databases, and operating systems.
- Experience with system analysis, software application programming, project implementation, leadership, and project management.
- Experience in banking domains such as pricing and risk is a plus.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Strong analytical, logical, written, and verbal communication skills and the ability to adjust priorities quickly.
