Base Salary
$90k - $95k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust data solutions using Azure SQL and Python.
- Coordinate end-to-end development across modules to ensure integration, coding consistency, and timely delivery.
- Guide junior engineers on SQL query design, indexing, and Python coding standards.
- Analyze workflows, tune SQL queries, and optimize Python logic to improve performance.
- Translate business and compliance requirements into secure technical designs.
- Lead code reviews and ensure adherence to security, data protection, and quality standards.
- Recommend scalable, cost-effective, and operationally simple architectures.
- Coordinate Azure-based component and Python service deployments, including rollback planning.
- Document system architectures, data models, and integration points.
- Monitor production systems for data integrity, performance, and security issues.
- Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement durable fixes.
- Evaluate improvements to development tools, CI/CD workflows, and testing strategies.
Requirements
- Six to eight years of hands-on experience in software development or data engineering roles.
- Advanced proficiency in Azure SQL, including schema design, complex querying, performance tuning, and cloud data asset management.
- Strong Python programming skills for building modular, testable, and maintainable services.
- Practical experience with compliance solutions or regulated environments, including audit readiness and data governance.
- Ability to communicate technical decisions and requirements to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with hybrid work practices and remote collaboration tools.
