Base Salary
$164k - $181k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build, modernize, and support critical wealth-management platform capabilities for rebalancing, trading workflows, and data processing.
- Develop scalable APIs, microservices, distributed systems, batch workflows, data pipelines, and cloud-ready architectures.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across APIs, databases, and batch systems in production-critical environments.
- Improve platform stability, performance, reliability, and resiliency through root cause analysis, defensive coding, and resilient design.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, business, and other stakeholders to translate workflow needs into technical solutions.
- Contribute to frontend, Micro Frontend, scalability, and performance initiatives.
- Mentor engineers and help elevate engineering standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 8 years of experience with Java and software development in production-critical systems.
- Experience building REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL.
- Experience with data processing, batch workflows, and data pipelines.
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD workflows, and Git-based development.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues, operate independently, make sound technical decisions, and deliver outcomes in ambiguous or fast-paced environments.
- Preferred experience includes financial technology, wealth management, advisor services, rebalancing, trading, or portfolio systems.
- Preferred experience includes Angular or other modern frontend frameworks, Micro Frontend architecture, cloud platforms, containers, and Kubernetes.
- Preferred qualifications include reliability and performance improvements, Agile or Scrum delivery, mentoring, stakeholder collaboration, and exposure to artificial intelligence tools or applied engineering use cases.
