Base Salary
$99k - $229k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and own the end-to-end deployment lifecycle of the observability platform across AWS GovCloud and Oracle OCI.
- Design and build Terraform modules and providers and GitLab CI/CD pipelines to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
- Operate and improve production Kubernetes workloads, lead incident response and root cause analysis, and deliver permanent fixes.
- Develop reusable frameworks, runbooks, methods of procedure, and operational standards for observability onboarding, alerting, and operational readiness.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to define and track SLOs and SLIs, contribute to architecture reviews, and eliminate operational toil through automation.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent resident (Green Card) status is required.
- 4–5+ years of hands-on production experience in Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Production Engineering.
- Production-grade Kubernetes experience covering workload operations, troubleshooting, and cluster-level architecture at scale.
- Ability to author Terraform modules and providers from scratch.
- Proven end-to-end on-call incident experience, including triage, resolution, post-incident review, and documented root cause analysis.
- Production-scale observability or monitoring platform experience and scripting proficiency in Python and/or Bash.
- Strong written communication skills, including the ability to produce runbooks, incident reports, methods of procedure, and architectural documentation.
- Preferred qualifications include hands-on Datadog, FedRAMP, AWS GovCloud, Oracle OCI, open-source observability tooling, container image security, CVE remediation, regulated-cloud, mission-critical operations, and cross-team standards adoption experience.
