Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, troubleshoots, and maintains secure, high-quality production software solutions.
- Creates architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensures software code meets design constraints.
- Develops, debugs, and maintains Java Spring and Spring Boot applications and backend services.
- Analyzes large and diverse datasets to identify patterns and drive improvements to applications, coding hygiene, and system architecture.
- Supports testing, application resiliency, operational stability, and secure software development.
- Participates in software engineering communities of practice and explores emerging technologies.
- Uses enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation tools for code generation, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating outputs.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 10+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Demonstrable ability to code with Java Spring, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.
- Experience with modern programming languages and database querying languages, including MS SQL Server, Oracle, and SQL.
- Knowledge of the software development life cycle, application resiliency, security, and cloud-related technical processes.
- Preferred familiarity with modern front-end technologies, AWS, and Kafka or MQ implementations.
- Preferred experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and evaluating their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
