Responsibilities
- Lead the design and architecture of PNT software products.
- Work with technical leads and subject matter experts to define and maintain the product backlog.
- Decompose user stories into detailed tasks and collaborate with the development team on execution.
- Develop software, conduct unit testing, and perform integration activities.
- Apply software development best practices to maintain code quality and reliability.
- Engage with internal and external customers to understand requirements and provide updates.
- Participate in standups, planning, retrospectives, and other development activities within an Agile framework.
- Help develop software development processes and identify improvements in software design, development, and deployment.
- Deliver technical solutions that meet PNT system needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience developing software applications.
- 8+ years of experience with Linux.
- 8+ years of experience with modern programming languages, including C/C++ and Python.
- Experience with modern software architecture principles and unit testing.
- Familiarity with RTOS or bare-metal development for embedded systems.
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum processes, including daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Experience practicing continuous integration and using Git.
- Strong communication, analytical, prioritization, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens because the position supports or is exposed to a U.S. government contract.
- Ability to work in the office at least four days per week and travel up to 10%.
