Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert in delivering and operating reliable, performant, robust, and secure applications.
- Design, document, create, and maintain highly available systems with development teams.
- Design and implement centralized monitoring solutions that provide actionable feedback.
- Create automation, processes, flows, and tooling with application development teams.
- Contribute to cloud-focused architecture evolution and recommend technology improvements.
- Provide tier 2 and tier 3 escalations for related issues and questions.
- Mentor new and less senior team members and improve team processes and productivity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related area of study.
- Hands-on platform engineering experience in DevOps, SysOps, or SRE.
- Experience with cloud-native architectures, platform support, cybersecurity, infrastructure as code, and observability.
- Expertise in automation strategies for cloud-native solutions, including pipelines, infrastructure as code, and test suites.
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms.
- Experience implementing infrastructure as code; Terraform is preferred.
- Experience using GitHub and engineering YAML-based pipelines.
- Experience implementing and operating container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
- Experience integrating SAST and SCA vulnerability-management tooling with the SDLC toolchain.
- Experience using generative AI tooling for software development and testing productivity.
- Expertise scripting with Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
- Ability to work hands-on and collaborate across technology teams.
