Customer Site Reliability Engineer - OpenShift Managed Cloud Services (Spoken Japanese, Kubernetes/AWS/Azure, Linux)

Responsibilities
- Manage large-scale distributed systems to minimize downtime and improve resilience.
- Lead and participate in high-priority customer escalations and critical incident calls.
- Develop code and automation scripts to improve service scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Coordinate incident response procedures and complete thorough postmortems.
- Collaborate with Technical Account Managers, Services, Fleet SRE, DevOps, and infrastructure teams on customer-specific and fleet-wide issues.
- Document resolutions, root causes, and best practices to support knowledge sharing and self-service.
- Mentor and coach team members and participate in the on-call rotation.
- Collaborate on strategic AI and automation projects to improve fleet operations and troubleshooting.
Requirements
- Advanced experience supporting or administering OpenShift or Kubernetes container platforms.
- Proficiency with container-based technologies and Linux-based systems in public cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Advanced experience with enterprise systems monitoring; Prometheus knowledge is preferred.
- Advanced experience with enterprise configuration management tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
- Software engineering experience with object-oriented languages; Golang is preferred.
- Superior communication skills and experience working directly with and presenting to customers.
- Ability to troubleshoot systems issues quickly and accurately and learn new technologies.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking and common protocols.
- Fluency in English; Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, or another additional language is advantageous.
