Responsibilities
- Design scalable, secure, and high-performing application, data, and AI architectures using MongoDB Atlas.
- Advise partners, sellers, and customers on architecture reviews, modernization strategies, and deployment decisions across cloud and hybrid environments.
- Lead technical discovery, solution mapping, demos, proofs of value, sizing, and technical documentation for complex partner and ecosystem opportunities.
- Build joint partner offerings, integration patterns, quick starts, workshops, demos, and reference architectures.
- Create reusable field assets and technical guidance that accelerate MongoDB adoption.
- Advise on RAG, vector search, agentic workflows, and AI application integration patterns across partner ecosystems.
- Provide implementation guidance, address technical objections, and develop practical workarounds as capabilities and documentation evolve.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and partner teams to share field feedback and improve integrations and partner experiences.
- Support territory and account planning, opportunity qualification, pipeline generation, and technical win strategy.
- Represent MongoDB through customer workshops, partner sessions, industry events, and thought leadership content.
- Mentor peers and promote repeatable best practices across the Solutions Consulting organization.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in customer-facing technical roles, including significant pre-sales, consulting, partner, or solutions architecture experience in enterprise software.
- Experience navigating complex sales cycles and aligning technical and business stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with application development, data platforms, or cloud-native systems and at least one of Python, JavaScript, Java, C#, or SQL.
- Experience designing distributed systems in cloud and hybrid environments with attention to scalability, resilience, and security.
- Ability to translate technical architecture into business value for executives, architects, developers, and partners.
- Experience with one or more of hyperscaler partnerships, ISV integrations, AI/ML applications, data engineering, platform modernization, or developer platforms.
- Ability to create technical assets, lead workshops, and enable field teams with reusable content and repeatable patterns.
- Strong presentation, communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
- Familiarity with modern sales methodologies and collaboration with sales leadership.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
- Preferred experience includes database programming, data models, data engineering, AI/ML projects, legacy modernization, SRE practices, and organizational enablement.
- MongoDB Certification or a Cloud Provider Certification is preferred.
- Preferred familiarity with MongoDB Atlas services, AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Apache Kafka, and framework-level integrations for modern AI applications.
- Public speaking, technical publishing, or representing a company in external technical forums is preferred.
