Responsibilities
- Build, ship, and maintain Timeclock features for iPad and Android tablets
- Develop clean, scalable, and testable React Native code
- Collaborate with backend engineers, product, and design to deliver tablet features
- Improve application performance, reliability, and resilience for Homebase users
- Use AI tools to accelerate development, reduce defects, improve test coverage, and automate workflows
- Coordinate with backend, web, data, and AI platform partners on end-to-end system behavior
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and continuous improvement
- Contribute to the mobile technical roadmap and engineering excellence across the organization
Requirements
- At least 4 years of React Native engineering experience
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript and common React Native frameworks
- Expertise in Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, and common iOS frameworks if familiar with iOS development
- Expertise in Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, and Kotlin Flow if familiar with Android development
- Advanced understanding of object-oriented design patterns and mobile performance optimization
- Deep knowledge of iOS or Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
- Experience with RESTful APIs, third-party integrations, and unit, feature, and integration testing frameworks
- Familiarity with Jira, Git, GitHub, CircleCI, and pull-request workflows
- Strong systematic thinking and problem-solving skills
- Hands-on AI tool experience for streamlining workflows, debugging, generating tests, and improving development velocity
