Responsibilities

  • Monitor CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes clusters, and application health dashboards; triage alerts, apply documented fixes, and escalate complex incidents.
  • Write, update, and maintain scripts, YAML configurations, and Terraform and Ansible modules for deployment and infrastructure changes.
  • Perform smoke testing and validate deployments in development and staging environments, including monitoring, logging, and alert functionality.
  • Participate in design sessions and code reviews with senior engineers while following team standards and change-control processes.
  • Maintain wikis, runbooks, deployment guides, and troubleshooting documentation.
  • Perform special projects and initiatives as assigned.

Requirements

  • A master's degree in computer science plus three years of progressively responsible IT experience, including 18 months in an administrative, managerial, executive, or supervisory capacity; or a bachelor's degree plus four years of qualifying IT experience; or a four-year high school diploma or equivalent plus six years of qualifying IT experience.
  • All candidates must have at least a four-year high school diploma or equivalent and at least three years of qualifying IT experience, including 18 months of administrative, managerial, executive, or supervisory experience.
  • Qualifying IT experience may include applications development, systems development, data communications and networking, database administration, data processing, or user services.
  • Qualifying undergraduate or graduate credits may substitute for limited portions of the required IT experience, but not for the required 18 months of administrative, managerial, executive, or supervisory experience.
  • Applicants must be permanent employees in the title or reachable on the current civil service list; employees in other civil service titles may submit resumes if they meet preferred requirements.
