Responsibilities
- Drive technical strategy and threat modeling for Workspace account security across authentication, recovery, and API integration paths.
- Lead vulnerability research and adversarial simulations targeting account takeover and malicious automation techniques.
- Design and build agentic systems, debugging tools, and simulators to detect, analyze, and mitigate account security threats.
- Architect and deploy customer-facing agentic tools for Google Workspace and Google Cloud customers.
- Lead high-severity account security investigations and develop long-term mitigations and patches with Product Engineering teams.
- Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Five years of experience with security assessments, security design reviews, or threat modeling.
- Five years of experience with security engineering, computer and network security, and security protocols.
- Five years of coding experience in one or more general-purpose languages.
- One year of experience leading teams technically or leading technical risk analysis in an enterprise environment.
- Preferred: master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred: experience with account security mechanisms, IAM, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, FIDO/Passkeys, and SAML.
- Preferred: experience building or deploying AI agents, LLMs, or agentic workflows for security automation, threat detection, or user-facing product features.
- Preferred: understanding of anti-abuse systems, bot detection, credential stuffing, and bulk-creation mitigations.
- Preferred: ability to identify novel security vulnerabilities and implement systemic engineering fixes.
