Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex distributed software systems with strong test coverage.
- Translate product requirements into modular, configurable, scalable, secure, and maintainable technical designs.
- Lead design and code reviews across multiple applications.
- Lead multiple sprint teams in delivering prioritized product features and resolving delivery impediments.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance across multiple teams.
- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders on estimation, prioritization, planning, and roadmap delivery.
- Drive technical strategy, operational excellence, quality, performance, scalability, maintainability, and observability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 7 years of software engineering experience and at least 3 years of hands-on experience leading multi-team engineering initiatives.
- Proficiency in one or more industry-standard programming languages, including Java, Python, Go, C++, or JavaScript.
- Experience with data structures, algorithms, design patterns, relational databases, NoSQL, caching solutions, APIs, message queuing, data streaming, workflow, and integration frameworks.
- Experience with gRPC, Apache Kafka, Apache NiFi, Amazon SQS, Microsoft Message Queuing, Apache Camel, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Experience designing and implementing high-quality distributed application systems and leveraging analytics and experimentation to improve system performance and scalability.
- Preferred qualifications include 7 or more years of Java/J2EE backend development, 4 or more years with Spring Framework, 4 or more years with SQL databases, 1 or more years with property and casualty insurance, and a master’s degree in Computer Science.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, influencing, mentoring, and technical leadership skills.
