Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and delivery of complex, data-intensive software solutions for scalable data product distribution.
- Define technical strategy for modernization, cloud adoption, platform transformation, and migration from legacy systems to cloud-native, API-driven architectures.
- Design and develop scalable services, APIs, data pipelines, analytical capabilities, and production-quality software across the full engineering lifecycle.
- Coordinate technical execution, architecture reviews, code reviews, technical decisions, dependencies, and delivery milestones across globally distributed teams.
- Partner with product, engineering, architecture, data science, QA, security, and operations teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Improve platform scalability, reliability, developer productivity, operational readiness, automation, and delivery speed.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through design guidance, code reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing.
- Champion engineering excellence, continuous improvement, ownership, collaboration, and high-quality delivery.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience delivering scalable, high-performance, and reliable software.
- Strong hands-on experience with distributed systems, microservices, RESTful APIs, and cloud-native applications.
- Experience with data-intensive applications and analytics platforms; Databricks experience is highly desirable.
- Expertise leading system architecture, high-level and detailed design, and end-to-end technical delivery of complex software solutions.
- Experience with technology modernization, cloud adoption, platform transformation, and legacy application modernization.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure, CI/CD, containerization, Kubernetes, observability, and modern software delivery practices.
- Demonstrated individual-contributor technical leadership, including influencing architecture decisions, driving technical strategy, and leading cross-team initiatives.
- Ability to translate business and product requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions.
- Experience using AI tools and technologies to improve software development productivity, code quality, operational efficiency, decision-making, and engineering outcomes while applying responsible AI and security practices.
- Ability to lead technical initiatives across globally distributed teams and collaborate effectively across engineering, product, architecture, data science, QA, and operations.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, mentoring, and decision-making skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field; an advanced degree is a plus.
